The Boathouse & Barn

The Boathouse was built in 1934 and its interior is a testament to the beauty of aged hand hewn wood and exceptional construction. It is an unfinished, exposed beam one level with one half loft offering a slanted concrete ramp to permit easy access for a small boat or motorcycle. Built originally for a boat to be used in the (then significantly deeper) Patapsco River, it has repurposed windows on four sides offering a sunny and bright interior. Currently used for storage, the space would be perfect for conversion to a brewery workshop or an artist studio. In 2008, the Boathouse received a new garage door, new front window, new iron rails, floor reinforcements, new brick portico front stairs, and a new roof, gutters and guards. It is electrified and could easily be tied to water access. In 2018, it received a new garage door Liftmaster w/WIFI capability.

Direct access to the Barn located beneath the Boathouse is down a side stair. The Barn is the full footprint of the Boathouse and received updated electrical and a re-enforced floor in 2004. The Barn exterior received a facelift with the addition of decorative lattice in 2008. It is electrified. Currently used for building material storage, it could be converted for animal housing.
